Ahsoka followed Kenobi's lead with Darth Vader!
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary Star Wars has effectively doubled down on a very smart change when it comes to Darth Vader's voice in the new Ahsoka show. One of the most famous cinematic villains of all time, Darth Vader was a Dark Lord of the Sith who was once Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Knight.
In Ahsoka episode 5, Ahsoka Tano receives a key vision in the Force which reunites her with her old master Anakin Skywalker . Seeking to teach his apprentice one last lesson despite his death in Return of the Jedi, Anakin takes Ahsoka on a journey through her own past. However, this version of Anakin encompasses his full self. This includes his dark corruption as Darth Vader with an impressive vocal change.
Ahsoka Blends Anakin & Darth Vader's Voices - And It's Awesome Fearing that all she will ever be is the soldier Anakin trained her to be during the chaos of the Clone Wars, it's also confirmed that Ahsoka feared becoming everything her master became with his fall to the dark side. As such, this fear comes alive as Anakin flickers back and forth between himself and Vader, his darker half.
This incredibly entertaining hybrid of voices was first done to a greater degree in Obi-Wan Kenobi's finale episode. During Obi-Wan's second duel with Vader, he damaged and broke part of the Sith Lord's mask, revealing the burned face of the man Vader once was underneath. As such, Vader's vocoder was also damaged, resulting in the same blending with Anakin's original voice. As such, it's very exciting to see the trend continue in Ahsoka episode 5.
