Paddy, Pat, Patrick, Padraig - what's in a name? Often quite a lot. But a New York photography exhibition featuring people with those names aims to counter some common Irish stereotypes.
By Niall McCrackenA photography exhibition capturing the stories of people named Paddy, Pat, Patrick and Padraig is being showcased in New York.
It included jokes about Irish people's consumption of alcohol and portrayed the Irish accent as incomprehensible. A large-scale immersive experience of the portraits was launched on Broadway this week ahead of the exhibit opening.
