The IMAX theater at World Golf Village will also close. Both businesses will stop operating on Sept. 30. The theater alone is almost 18,000 square feet and will still include its movie equipment, which the theater company is leaving behind. If another company were to take over operating the theater, the equipment would likely need an upgrade over the next five to eight years.In addition to those departures, the PGA has notified the county it plans to relocate the “PGA Tour Productions” office to another location at the end of 2024.
