Vassell, who led the Spurs with 25 points in his best scoring game since returning March 2 from a two-month absence due to knee surgery, had a chance to win it in regulation, but his 3-point shot at the buzzer came up far short. "We have been competitive all year. We shouldn’t have lost that game," said Zach Collins, who finished with 24 points, eight rebounds and four assists for the Spurs."We were up 30. We shouldn't have lost."
Sochan exited with three points and three rebounds after playing eight minutes in the first half. Bates-Diop had 11 points in 13 minutes. Asked if he received an explanation from the official who called the jump ball, Collins said,"Yeah, he looked at my arm and said,"Come on.' That's what he said."
