Of his eight outs, six came by strikeout.Ethan Salas, a 16-year-old Venezuelan signed in January for $5.6 million, made his Cactus League debut in the sixth inning. The Padres believe Salas, who grounded out in his only at-bat Saturday, is perhaps three years away from the majors.
