Spectacular Spider-Man has been confirmed for Across The Spider-Verse by Chris Miller.
The Spectacular Spider-Man is confirmed to appear in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, according to one of the sequel's writers. Miles Morales' story is set to continue after the successful Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse as Sony Pictures fleshes out the franchise. Based on Marvel Comics' iconic Spider-Verse concept, the sequel will up the stakes with more alternative Spider-Man heroes.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Sony Pictures recently released a new Spider-Man. Across the Spider-Verse trailer, which highlighted Miles facing off with multiple Variants. While the Spider-Man. Across the Spider-Verse trailer saw various new heroes, another iconic version is set to appear in the second installment. Producer and writer Chris Miller, who worked on the first film, shared a new poster on Twitter to help hype Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
With returning heroes also come the arrival of multiple new ones, both as huge players and for cameos appearances. Issa Rae will be voicing Jessica Drew, a.k.a. Spider-Woman, who will be pregnant, similar to the comics. Daniel Kaluuya is also joining Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse as Hobart "Hobie" Brow, better known as Spider-Punk. The trailer have confirmed that a vast number of Spider-Man Variants will show up in some capacity.
Whether Josh Keaton, who voiced the Spectacular Spider-Man, will actually have any dialogue in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse remains to be seen. But this is huge for fans of The Spectacular Spider-Man, given its sudden cancellation after only two seasons. There had been fan wishes and even speculation that the sequel would somehow incorporate Keaton's incarnation of the Marvel web-slinger.
