The creators behind hit Netflix show Firefly Lane has explained why the show won't be returning for a third season.
The second part of season two dropped on the streaming service last month. However, showrunner Maggie Friedman has confirmed there will be no further instalments.In an interview with Glamour promoting the new season, Friedman said she had decided to end the show. The head writer explained that season two had been extended to 16 episodes to accommodate her plans for the series.
She added: "'I know exactly what I want it to be. I just want to make sure that we get there and don’t end on a cliff-hanger and then something happens and we don’t complete it.' I wanted to make sure that I got to tell the full story."
