Futuristic robots and electric supercars to steal the show — all free for two days next month

The Spark Engineering Festival, a complimentary two-day event lauding Lincolnshire's engineering prowess, is set to return to the hallowed Lincoln Cathedral on July 7 & 8, 2023. The festival, making a comeback after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, endeavours to herald Lincolnshire's stature as an engineering innovation trailblazer and fuel the ambitions of upcoming generations.

This year's festival is poised to be exciting, featuring a 3D-printed, 9-foot futuristic robot, and Audi's premier all-electric supercar, the Audi E-Tron GT. Festival-goers can also look forward to the reappearance of exhibits from local engineering enterprises. John Latham, Chair of the Spark Engineering Festival steering group, expressed delight at the festival's return and conveyed gratitude to Siemens Energy for their unwavering support as the headline sponsor. Latham acknowledged that the festival had previously accumulated significant traction and it's heartening to witness the continued enthusiasm amongst the local community.
