Temperatures are expected to rise this Saturday
A Spanish plume is set to hit Nottinghamshire in just days. Weather forecasters are predicting it could mean temperatures in the parts of the UK could hit highs of 35C. A meteorologist has predicted that temperatures could peak at nearly 35C, just 5C short of last year's unprecedented heatwave.
The hot weather will hit between the middle and end of next week, and temperatures will rise across Europe. Jim Dale, a senior meteorologist at British Weather Services, said: "There's a big move on the weather models, indicating the middle to end of next week to be hitting 35C here and potentially 45C in Spain, following the hottest start to June globally ever.
But the expert said much of reason for the increasing temperatures is global warming. Speaking to the Express, he added: "This is all written very large on the can of climate change." The MET Office forecast for Nottingham currently predicts more rain to fail on Thursday, June 22, with temperatures of around 24C.Temperatures will start to rise this Saturday, June 24. According to the Met Office, Nottingham will reach highs of 26C. The theme will continue, and temperatures will begin to ramp up on Monday, June 26, where 30C could be reached in central England, including the Midlands, reports Birmingham Live.
On Tuesday the mercury slowly begins to push upwards again as blistering heat moves to 31C and above, and by Wednesday parts of the southeast may be basking in 33C highs.
