Holidaymakers flying to Spain are being warned that a popular snack is being banned from flights

. Stricter laws on what British people can bring in have been tightened since Brexit.

Some animal products now fall into this list under categories of meat and dairy items, Birmingham Live reports. Holidaymakers will easily fall victim to this if they buy food at the airport, and take it with them into the country, reports the Sun. So if you are planning to buy something like a ham and cheese sandwich - make sure you eat it on the plane, or throw it out before arrival. There are other items that could get you in trouble too. Cakes contain fresh cream - also a dairy product - and some sweets are made with gelatine - an animal product.English cheeses like Cornish brie and Wensleydale, as well as clotted cream fudge, are all no-nos as well.

One dairy product that is still allowed is baby milk. Powdered baby milk is still allowed into Spain as long as it is sealed and in its original packaging. The UK Foreign Office states: " You cannot take meat, milk or products containing them into EU countries. "There are some exceptions for medical reasons, for example certain amounts of powdered infant milk, infant food, or pet food required for medical reasons."
