Scottish tourists have been warned that they could face fines if they are caught smoking on beaches in Spain.
The San Antonio City Council say they took up the ban to improve people's health and stop cigarette butts littering the sands. "Today, tobacco use is one of the leading causes of preventable disease and death worldwide. Exposure to smoke from tobacco products has been shown to cause health problems similar to those caused by tobacco use."
