The visa, which is aimed at citizens from outside the European Economic Area, is expected to come into force next month and will offer tax breaks as an extra enticement.
Carme Artigas, the Spanish secretary of state for digitalisation and artificial intelligence, said she hoped“Many British people who are here or who have second homes here can work here for their companies. But also, what we want is to attract many talented Britons,” she told“Perhaps one of the greatest wastes of Brexit was for Europe to lose a part of its talent.”
She added: “We would like to be a destination that part of this talent would decide to invest in, and come here and start businesses because we will make it easier, and make the ecosystem grow and develop.”
