The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said that a “plume cloud of pulverized concrete” deposited material as far as 6.5 miles northwest of the pad site.

severely damaged the launch pad, sending concrete, steel and other objects thousands of feet into the air, the Texas division of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said in its emailed statement.

Debris was found in Boca Chica State Park, which is managed by the service as part of the Lower Rio Grande National Wildlife Refuge. It said it has found no evidence of dead birds or other wildlife.
