Dumbgood is bringing back Blockbuster for a nostalgic pop-up.
If you long to once again wander the VHS-filled shelves of Blockbuster, clear your weekend schedule: Apparel brand Dumbgood is bringing it back for a limited time. Starting Friday, anyone in New York City will be able to take a step back in time and stop by the Dumbgood x Blockbuster pop-up shop, and secure bright blue-and-yellow throwback merch to commemorate the experience of our youth.
According to a press release, the pop-up "replicates the iconic interior of our favorite '90s video rental spot with shelves of classic VHS tapes, packaged candy and popcorn, an Insta-worthy VHS wall, and of course, Dumbgood's signature streetwear-meets-pop-culture merch.
Dumbgood will also be selling some of its evergreen merchandise — think Buffy, Goosebumps, and more — as well a not-yet-announced collab that will drop later this week, all in time for holiday gifting. The shop is located at 13 Crosby Street in New York City, and is open from 10am to 7pm on December 6 through December 15. Dumbgood x Blockbuster, 14K Gold Necklace, exclusive to pop-up.
