“Sonic the Hedgehog” is headed for the big screen. But not everyone is in love with the movie’s first-look trailer, which Paramount released Tuesday morning.
The CG-animated/live-action flick sees the beloved yet brash blue Sega character exploring Earth for the first time. Voiced by Ben Schwartz, Sonic soon recruits a new friend to help him stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik .The film, directed by Jeff Fowler, also stars Tika Sumpter and Adam Pally. It features a number of Sonic’s signature moves, including his ability to turn himself into a bright blue ball and travel with electrifying speed.
But it seems that the movie also spotlights a particular part of Sonic — his teeth, which for some reason resemble those of a human more than a hedgehog.
