Olivia Newton-John's 'Grease' jacket ends up going toward a great cause
An anonymous media tech entrepreneur who purchased Olivia Newton-John's iconic leather jacket fromHe originally bought the jacket for $243,000 in a November auction to benefit the
, but it will now be on permanent display at the Melbourne, Australia-based research institute. Newton-John was diagnosed with breast cancer for the third time in 2017., the actress immediately tears up when the entrepreneur explains that he is returning the jacket.
They then go on to open the big pink box and wrapping paper to reveal the jacket. “Where are you, my friend?” the singer squeals before hugging the iconic costume tight.
