There are a ton of sandwich-phobe confessions out there, likeadmitting, "I hate smell of sandwiches, I hate the taste, I hate the way they feel and I believe bread should be on its own without anything added... I dreaded work lunch because almost everyone eats sandwich and it makes my stomach turn. Funny how food can ruin your lunch hour." One mothera story about her kid's food phobia—"My daughter is afraid of sandwiches.

I feel like I'm missing out on an entire type of cuisine, but also, I really don't understand whysuspects that, for the most part, these admissions seem to be “more of an aversive food reaction as opposed to a food phobia.” Someone with an aversion can live normally in a sandwich-filled world, while someone with a phobia will go out of their way to escape potential sandwich situations.
