Bryce Klebe is not alone. A Chronicle callout for Houstonians who love the heat delivered a surprisingly large number of responses. People from all over the city reached out to explain what exactly they enjoy about this record-setting weather.

Klebe enjoys the sweat on his skin. He likes the feeling of having to labor in order to simply be outside. He said he runs five times a week along Buffalo Bayou in the middle of the day. He skateboards on the weekends.

"My parents used to be worried for me," Roberts said."I went running the other day and it was over 100 degrees out in Memorial Park, and I thought I was dying and I was one of the only ones out there."San Antonio native and Houston ISD teacher Abigail Miracle is not like other Houstonians who love the heat because they hate the cold. Miracle does in fact enjoy the physical sensation of heat on her skin. She says her body was made for it.

"My parents and I, our bodies don't feel the heat," Miracle said."But my fiance and mother-in-law from New York think I'm absolutely insane that I'm outside gardening in the summer."
