Guests are being evacuated from a number of Disney World hotels as Hurricane Ian bears down on Florida.
it is closing Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, the Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs and the Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort from Wednesday through Friday.The areas closing to guests are campground-style lodgings or areas in close proximity to water; the bungalows at the Polynesian, for instance, are built on little individual piers that jut out onto the Seven Seas Lagoon.
For now, Disney says its theme parks will remain open. Disney allows guests to cancel tickets or reservations with no penalty if there is a hurricane warning in effect; if you’re within 7 days of travel, you can call to cancel or reschedule your plans. More information about
