'We're talking about almost 400 water systems who are failing to provide safe, drinking water to their customers,' the California state auditor said.
"Streamline the application and review process to get that money out the door more quickly so these water systems have the funding and technical expertise to improve their water systems in a more timely manner," Tilden said.
The auditor warns that in some places, people could face long-term health problems stemming from the water they're drinking.This article tagged under:
