's Gal Gadot got a group of her A-list friends together to record a cover of John Lennon's"Imagine" to put a little hope into the world amid the ongoingGadot posted a two-minute clip Wednesday on Instagram featuring celebrities including Natalie Portman, Mark Ruffalo, Amy Adams, Kristen Wiig, Jamie Dornan, and Zoe Kravitz.
Gadot opens and closes the song while her Hollywood pals divvy up the other lyrics. The star-studded clip also features the vocal stylings of singer Sia, Jimmy Fallon, James Marsden, Cara Delevingne, Will Ferrell, and more.said in the video that"these past few days got me feeling a little bit philosophical" and the coronavirus pandemic is a reminder"we're all in this together.
Gadot said her cover of"Imagine" was inspired by a viral clip of an Italian man playing the song on his trumpet to his neighbors."There was something so powerful and pure about this video," said Gadot before breaking into song. But the starry"Imagine" cover received mixed reviews on Twitter, where it was shared by a Gadot fan account.— Adam Schumacher "Cheesy and embarrassing, until they donate money, I can care less about this video," said one person in response to the clip.
Another said,"Boohoo. You are stuck at home with a full bank account and all the necessities. What are they doing as individuals to help???"
