A winter weather advisory remains in place until 1 a.m. Saturday.
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Snow was falling early Friday morning in Northeast Ohio as the region remains under aForecasters with the National Weather Service say snow will fall throughout the day, with accumulations of 2 to 4 inches possible. Up to 2 inches of snow is possible before sunrise.
The Weather Service warns that lake-effect snow bands will be persistent later this morning in both the primary and secondary snow belt. Temperatures will be in the low 30s most of the day, but steady winds will make it feel like it’s in the teens. Wind gusts could hit 30 mph during the morning and early afternoon.The Ohio Department of Transportation will have 285 plows on the roads in Northeast Ohio to combat the winter storm, although Thursday’s rain prevented pre-treating surfaces. Officials warn that roads could be snow-covered and slippery for the morning commute.
