The discovery of a human skull found in a Queens backyard last year has now turned into a murder investigation, but police say they have no suspects and the victim had no ties to the house where her remains were found.

The victim has been identified as 54-year-old Gloria Lee of Flatbush. The city medical examiner's office ruled her death a homicide, but no possible details on the cause were immediately released. Lee's skull was recovered from the yard of a Pinegrove Street building in Jamaica that the Department of Buildings has had a vacate order on since 2019.
