San Jose resident Raymond Calderon is suspected of taking two lives with his grandmother and two children in the vehicle, before dying at the hands of police.
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Three lives were lost this week in San Jose and Modesto during a violent evening that turned into a double murder Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
Chief Mata said they were first alerted to Calderon when his ex-girlfriend called saying he would not return their six and 7-year-old children to her. This violated a previous restraining order.Calderon killed a man he knew in front of this home in San Jose around 7 p.m. before driving to Modesto to kill Michelle Rose Gonzales, a woman Calderon shared a 6-month-old child with.
After driving back to San Jose, police said he fired at officers multiple times while running into an empty backyard shed where he would hold up for hours.
