UPDATE: Six people were injured, including two Denver police officers, after authorities initiated a chase Monday evening on Interstate 225 near Colfax Avenue.
One person, the driver, suffered what police called self-inflicted gunshot wounds, said Matthew Longshore, an Aurora police spokesman, during an evening news briefing. That individual, who was not identified, is in critical condition. Injuries for the other five individuals are not considered serious.Denver police initiated the chase after identifying the car through investigation into a shooting earlier in the day, Longshore said.
