At first glance, Glasgow is a world apart from New York City - and yet there's a reason why Hollywood has chosen the Dear Green Place to stand in for the Big Apple in recent years.
While it's true that filmmakers have used plenty of CGI to pass Glasgow off as New York, the essence of Scotland's largest city has always remained recognisable in the finished product. Now check out the Tiffany Building 401 Fifth Avenue. The stone colour, general design and proportions are very similar to 110 St Vincent Street.
