Six fire engines are currently on the scene of a 'large building fire'
The fire is at a derelict nursing home on Sherwood Road. Alongside six fire engines, the service is also utilising a water bowser and an aerial ladder platform as they fight the flames.
Residents nearby have been asked close their windows and doors if they smell or see smoke. People should avoid the area due to the risk.Nottingham Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were on the scene of the blaze on social media earlier this morning. The caption reads: "We are currently dealing with a large building fire on Sherwood Road in Worksop. Six fire engines are in attendance, along with a water bowser and aerial ladder platform .
