Believed to be Chinooks, they were spotted by people in South Oxhey, Cassiobury Park and Chorleywood, yesterday between 3pm and 4.30pm.Amid speculation over what they were doing, the Ministry of Defence has since told theHowever, it is believed the helicopters may have been United States Air Force aircraft. The US Embassy in London and the Department of Defense has been contacted for comment.
Numerous people took to social media to rave about the"amazing" sight, with one claiming they all landed at RAF Northolt.It is not the first time the advanced multi-mission helicopters have been spotted in the area recently.
