Singer forced to postpone sold-out Albert Hall gig - just hours before doors open
American singer Caroline Polachek has been forced to postpone a sold-out gig in Manchester this evening.
A second date in Bristol, which was set to take place tomorrow, has also been postponed. The Manchester gig had already been rescheduled from the original date on October 29, 2022, but fans will now have to wait until May to see the singer following a bout of illness. Posting on social media just before 5pm this afternoon, the Manchester venue told ticket holders: “Caroline Polachek’s concerts at Manchester Albert Hall and Bristol Marble Factory have been postponed due to artist illness.
In a statement, Polachek, who yesterday released her fourth solo album Desire, I Want to Turn Into You, apologised to fans. She said: “I’ve been looking forward to these shows for so long, but am heartbroken to be waking up sick today and unable to sing properly.
