Her decision to withdraw from the competitions highlighted the importance of athletes' mental health.
Biles said she has received a lot of support during the Games, but she was bothered by the misconception of some people that"I was at no risk, and mental health isn’t a serious issue." "It wasn’t an easy decision so it hurts that people were like 'oh she quit,'" Biles said."I worked five years for that, why would I quit? ... I just don’t quit, that’s not what I do."
She added she would usually"push things under the rug," but felt doing that would be dangerous this time.
