The SidewalkFilm Festival always attracts films and filmmakers from across the nation and globe. But also helping to further Sidewalk’s reach in the greater film community are the homegrown artists who rely on it to boost their own careers.
Pretty Problems
“Money doesn’t fix your problems, it just makes them prettier,” one character says in this biting satire from director Kestrin Pantera. When Jack and Lindsey Simpson get invited to a Sonoma chateau by affluent strangers, they end up on the most unhinged weekend of their lives. Can their relationship survive this new wild west of wealth? Birmingham native Britt Rentschler stars in this comedy, this year’s winner of the Narrative Spotlight Audience Award at SXSW.
