The newly registered service has been criticised by inspectors.
CQC inspected the home-care provider, giving it a 'requires improvement' rating
Inspectors found that the healthcare provider ‘requires improvement’ in four of the five assessed areas which looked at whether the service was safe, effective, responsive and well-led. “The provider’s governance was ineffective to identify the shortfalls found during this inspection,” the CQC inspection found.
“We found where a person was receiving end of life care, staff did not have access to an end-of-life care plan, to ensure the person’s wishes would be met,” commented the inspection report. “Staff protected and respected people’s privacy and dignity,” added the report. “They understood and responded to their individual needs.
“Staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service support this practice,” the inspection report added. “Staff focused on people’s strengths and promoted what they could do, so people had a fulfilling and meaningful everyday life.
