Blackpool were then awarded a free-kick in the 40th minute, from which George Byers' header looped over the Shrewsbury backline but found the hands of keeper Harry Burgoyne. But Blackpool doubled their advantage in the 84th minute when Dembele's cross found the unmarked Coulson, who headed home.
