Shoppers have been left wowed by a new drink, Brew, which is being described as a "dupe" for the original beverage. Brew contains sugar but no artificial sweeteners, with creators Scoffable coming up with the idea when the old Irn-Bru formula was axed.
The team have spend three years perfecting the recipe in order to provide an authentic tasting soft drink for fizz fans. One wrote: "Drinking mine now, definitely the closest I have tasted. It reminds me of irn bru bars but stronger with a slight cream soda aftertaste. Better than anything else out there."
One person wrote: "Already halfway through my first case. It’s braw. Not the same as original Irn Bru but fairly close and while I agree on the fizz, it doesn’t bother me as much. It’s gonna be really bloody difficult for anyone to get it right because Irn Bru are so guarded on their recipe, but I’d rather occasionally buy a case of this when I can afford it than give Barr any of my cash.
