Drivers trying to leave or get to downtown Houston by using North San Jacinto should seek an alternate route this afternoon, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.
Gonzalez took to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon to report that a train was stalled and blocking the street, which is one of the major routes out of the city's central business district. The location is near the Harris County Jail. Traffic Alert: a train is stalled at the North San Jacinto Crossing. This is a major entry/exit point for the central business district. No estimated time for resolution.
