Founded in Altoona, Sheetz has more than 680 locations in Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. Unleaded 88 is essentially regular gasoline but with more ethanol — a kind of alcohol made with corn and other plants that’s common in fuel. The most common mix is 10% ethanol to 90% gasoline. But Unleaded 88 has 15% ethanol. The EPA says vehicles 2001 and newer can use the blend.
