Pederson, Davis homer in Giants win against Rockies
SAN FRANCISCO — Joc Pederson had himself a day. But he wasn’t happy after Tuesday’s game.
Despite injuries, Pederson has been one of the Giants’ best offensive weapons. His home run Tuesday was his team-leading 23rd of the year and 25th lead-off home run of his career. The Giants may want him back next year, but it’s unclear if Pederson will want to return. “It’s been nice,” Pederson said. “I’ve really had fun. First-class organization. They do everything the right way. And I’m glad that I got to be a part of it for a year.”J.D. Davis’ solo home run in the fourth inning was one of three hits he had in the win, following up on his third career four-hit game on Sunday. It was Davis’ fifth home run off a right-handed pitcher this year and seventh home run with the Giants since he was traded from the Mets at the deadline.
Webb was pulled early, but still got his 15th win of the year, the most wins for a Giants pitcher since Madison Bumgarner and Johnny Cueto in 2016.
