People who have a vitamin D deficiency are more likely to have a severe or fatal case of COVID-19, researchers said.

Dr. John Whyte, chief medical officer at WebMD, breaks down a recent study on how COVID fatigue differently impacts the two sexes., researchers said.

More than 250 patients had records of vitamin D levels prior to COVID-19 infection, and the team found that patients with vitamin D deficiency were 14 times more likely to have a severe or critical case of COVID-19. When adjusted for age, gender, season and history of chronic diseases, the differences still applied.She's a political rival of Republican candidate for governor Darren Bailey. State representative Avery Bourne called him a flip-floppper on Covid-19 pandemic policy.

Notably, the study is based on research conducted before coronavirus vaccines were widely available, and the doctors stressed to The Times of Israel that vitamin supplements are not a substitute for vaccines, but a way to aid immunity levels.
