There's a community wellness fair happening Saturday at the Mountain View Library, and on Sunday, a Mental Health Resource Fair will take place at The Nave in Spenard.
The fair is free and includes appearances from over 20 local organizations that can share information and resources related to wellness and mental health.
There will also be free food, including pork sliders, dirty rice, barbecue and desserts; a kids area with games and art; plus free yoga and meditation classes.Law enforcement authorities say they’re hosting the prescription drug take-back day to help reduce medication misuse.to drop off unused, unwanted or expired prescription medications include:
• Anchorage: Alaska Regional Hospital, Providence Alaska Medical Center, Fred Meyer locations at Abbott Road and Muldoon Road• Homer: Homer Police Department
