May 16, 2022 / 12:28 AMU.S. Sen. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland said Sunday that he suffered a stroke while delivering a speech this week. He said he is currently hospitalized, but he said he has been informed there are"no long-term effects or damage as a result of this incident."
He said an angiogram indicated he suffered a"minor stroke in the form of a small venous tear at the back of my head." He said he would remain under observation for the next few days"out of an abundance of caution."
