The pair tied the knot in a super-intimate ceremony on March 25 at her family zoo in Australia
"We thought about postponing, because you want to share this day with everyone, but when it boiled down to it, we both just said, 'Look, we desperately want to get married, and no matter what the future holds, at least we'll be husband and wife. We can take on the world together,'"Irwin recalls.
Having loved ones cheering them on from afar also helped put the pair at ease with their decision. When Powell's family couldn't make the trip,"they said, 'We fully support you, we love you, just get married,'" he explains. Their only request was a video call on the day of the wedding."My dad had to see every detail," says the groom. Adds Irwin:"He wanted the play-by-play. It was so cute.
