Ruiz first became a household name in November after she starred in the Peloton bike ad that launched Nov. 21. The spot was subsequently slammed on social media because Ruiz’s unseen husband gifted her the $2,245 stationery bike, despite her being a healthy size. The ad, meanwhile, has racked up more than 8 million views on YouTube.
Afterward, Reynolds cast her in his ironic gin ad. In it, Ruiz looks shell-shocked while sitting at a bar during the holidays while her friends assure her “you’re safe here.” They toast “to new beginnings” and drink gin cocktails, with one adding, “you look great, by the way.”
