The Nuggets unveiled the rings to commemorate their 2023 NBA championship on Tuesday prior to their season-opening game against the Lakers at Ball Arena., the rings feature more than 16 carats of diamonds, rubies and sapphires — each gemstone representing the team’s colors and the 16 carets signifying Denver’s 16 wins en route to the title.
On one side of the ring, the words “world champions” rest above the franchise’s classic skyline logo. Below that is the team’s 53-29 record with the NBA logo in between. There are 15 stones above “world champions,” which are for the 15 playoff home games played. The rings are also interactive. There is a lever on the top of the ring to change 1967 — the year the team was founded — to 2023 and it changes the background color from blue to white. On the side, there is a hidden retractable compartment that unveils the championship banner.
