Here are the best street style looks we saw at this year's Pitchfork Festival.
Alex: I’m from Chicago: Albany Park, Northside.... By Chicago, I don’t mean the suburbs; I mean Chicago. Born and raised. I work in the advertising industry; I do social coordination for Autozone. I just got free tickets today through my agency, so honestly, I forgot the schedule for the weekend. There were probably people I was more excited to see on Saturday and Sunday. Right now [I’m excited to see], Haim; I just started listening to them today, they’re pretty poppy and nice.
Moon: I’m Korean, but I’m from the East Coast. I write mostly, but I also do sculpture and installation. I run a project space on the Northside called Laura. We have gallery openings and underground shows. I dress pretty modular, so I’m wearing an apron and some Victorian bloomers.and Kiarra Kiarra: I’m a rising junior at Emory University in Georgia, and I study nursing. I’m from Chicago, born and raised. I’d say the same thing as Kiarra—my favorite thing about Chicago is the diversity.
Jhadin: I’m a rising junior at Northwestern. I study business, and I’m from Chicago. I love that it’s so culturally diverse. I can go to Chinatown, Little Italy, Greek Town, the Southside, or anywhere and have different experiences. I have on a neon pink silk two-piece from Fashion Nova.I go to journalism school at Emerson College in Boston, where I’m actually an acting student and a junior. Chicago is like Ikea, and Boston is like the Target dorm section.
I’m wearing some Thai kickboxing shorts that I got in Phuket, and I’m wearing a sports bra because it is very hot outside. My shoes are Harley Davidson boots that I took the little labels off of [laughs].I’m from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and I’m just here for the weekend. I’ve been coming here for the past three years, and it’s always a fun-ass time. My favorite thing about Milwaukee is the art community and the music scene; I think it’s pretty slept on right now.
