The Disney Vacation Club bills itself as a more flexible alternative to timeshare properties with members purchasing points to book their stays.DVC members can use their points in a variety of ways to book rooms at 16 DVC locations worldwide. They can save their points and splurge on a pricier vacation, spread them out to maximize their value or buy more points if they need extra.
Disney representatives showing off the new Villas only allowed two people at a time into the Jungle Book-themed Duo room and resisted demonstrating the Murphy bed — a testament to the tight confines of the new timeshare resort’s smallest room.The bedroom portion of the Duo room was about the same size as the bathroom. The Duo room was so small that it caused tour members to wonder aloud where they would put their suitcases.
The Deluxe that sleeps four is the most common room configuration in the new wing of the Disneyland Hotel.The 754-square-foot one-bedroom and 1,124-square-foot two-bedroom suites were decidedly less grand than the three-bedroom DVC Grand Villa — but still provided much-needed additional space for vacationers traveling with larger parties.The 344 new DVC rooms in the Discovery Tower represent a nearly seven-fold increase over the 50 DVC rooms in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel.

Cornish begins wet commissioning of South Crofty water treatment plantMineral exploration and development company Cornish Metals – focused on its South Crofty tin project in Cornwall, the UK – has commenced wet commissioning of its newly constructed mine water treatment plat (MWTP) at South Crofty.
