In the clip, the musicians have fun with the raucous, upbeat new track, which will appear on the band’s new albumdue out February 7th. Singer Billie Joe Armstrong gets the crowd singing along to the catchy chorus, which the fans apparently already know.
Armstrong told Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 show that the new album is only 26 minutes long because he “hates long songs.” “Rock and roll sometimes has become so tame because people are, a lot of rock acts are always trying to look for the feel-good song of the year or something, everything gets really watered down and wimpy, and I think rock music should make you feel bad,” Armstrong noted.
Fall Out Boy and Weezer also announced new albums and singles on Tuesday. Weezer’s new song “The End of the Game” comes from their forthcoming LP which is slated to arrive in May 2020, while Fall Out Boy’s new single “Dear Future ” features Wyclef Jean and will appear on compilation album stadium tour will kick off June 13th, 2020 in Paris, France and hit North America the following month. It wraps up August 29th at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
