Prince William and Kate Middleton undertook a rare summertime engagement at The King’s Cup Regatta–and they brought along two surprise guests.
on the Isle of Wight. According to the royal diary, only the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were scheduled to attend, but they brought along some surprise guests: Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
While their parents raced each other on individual sailing boats, the Cambridge siblings cheered them on from the deck of another vessel. They dressed on-theme for the occasion, both wearing blue and white nautical stripes under their lifejackets. George playfully donned a captain’s hat for the occasion. Grandfather Michael Middleton kept a watchful eye on the two. Younger sibling Prince Louis was not spotted in the crowd—presumably too young for the event, he was likely at home.
George, in particular, seemed to be enjoying his time on deck. Photographers captured him grinning, his front teeth noticeably missing.
