After releasing a veteran, waiving 21 players and placing a rookie on injured reserve, the Seattle Seahawks have reduced their roster to 53 players for the 2022 season.
According to the Seahawks, veteran cornerback Justin Coleman was released and rookie linebacker Tyreke Smith was placed on injured reserve.
Seven of the Seahawks’ nine draft picks made the team: Charles Cross, Boye Mafe, Kenneth Walker III, Abraham Lucas, Coby Bryant, Tariq Woolen and Dareke Young. The aforementioned fifth-round pick Tyreke Smith was placed on injured reserve and seventh-round pick Bo Melton could be a practice squad member if he clears waivers.
