Emergency services raced to the scene and the 30-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries
A man was rushed to hospital after falling from a cherry picker while putting up a Christmas tree. The council worker was helping to decorate Bury Market in Greater Manchester when he plunged through a glass canopy on Monday morning.
The North West Ambulance service said the man had fallen 'from a height' at around 10am and was taken to hospital to be treated for 'major trauma'. Bury Council have said they are currently investigating the incident and that it has been referred to the Health and Safety Executive. A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said: "We were call at 10.30am to reports a person had fallen from a height and Bury Market. We have taken a man to hospital to be treated for major trauma."
