Liz Truss' No.10 exit sparks calls for anti-racism movement
ACTIVISTS ARE calling for the government’s plans to send asylum seekers to Rwanda to be halted following the appointment of a new Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak.
“Since the Rwanda plan was announced more people than ever before have crossed the Channel on small boats. If we have travel visas to other refugees in a similar way to how we do with Ukrainians, no one will get in small boats and people smugglers would be put out of business overnight,” she said. The ex-Home Secretary Priti Patel’s policies were labelled as “inhumane” after the European Court of Human Rights stepped in.
